Chapters

From idea to collection.

01

Motivation & Concept

It all starts with a question: what do I want to tell? Memories, materials, cultural roots and personal preferences come together into a clear concept — the common thread of the whole collection.

02

Research & Inspiration

Craft techniques, art history, material studies. For 'Crochet Couture': crochet as craft — from Irish lace through Bosnian techniques to contemporary designers.

03

Ethics & Material Choice

Sustainability as a stance. Choosing organic yarns and fabrics (cotton, wool, silk), care properties, certifications and responsibility along the entire supply chain.

04

Target Audience & Collection Structure

Defining the wearer, silhouette families, colour world and division into sub-collections ('Dandelion de Jour' & 'Dandelion de Nuit').

05

Illustration & Figurine

The drawing grows out of the concept: setting proportions, varying silhouettes, working out details. The figurine serves as a constant foundation.

06

Technical Drawing & Style Sheet

Front and back view, seams, closures, measurements. Complemented by fabric and style sheets with all material details for realisation.

07

Pattern & Realisation

From the base pattern to the fitting. Working the crochet elements, combining with woven fabrics, fine work and finish.

08

Photoshoot & Presentation

Moodboard, location, styling, light. The collection gets its final image — the foundation for portfolio, editorial and shop.
